Matthew Stephens
Experience
Most of the cases Matt handles for contractors and insurers are commercial disputes over allegations of defective construction, and he has extensive experience with cases relating to water infiltration, explosions and fires, and other catastrophic losses.
Construction disputes typically involve multiple parties and layers of insurance coverage, and Matt has the experience to counsel and guide clients through the web of allegations, scope of work issues, and insurance coverage. He has litigated cases to successful conclusions in projects ranging from underground tunnels to road construction to high rise condominiums. He is the preferred counsel for several prominent Chicago area general contractors.
